After hearing quick reports from the Steering Committees for Covid-19 prevention and control of Hiep Thanh and Phu My wards, he spoke highly of the efforts by the Party, government, mass organizations, medical and volunteer forces of wards in controlling the pandemic well. The pandemic situation in the wards has been basically controlled and the process of "greening" is being accelerated. Along with that, the wards have also ensured the implementation of social welfare packages as well as the provision of food and foodstuffs for the people.

After hearing ideas by medical staff involved in Covid-19 prevention and control at grassroots level, Mr.Loi noted that in the current period of severe shortage of medical human resources in order to serve the collection and treatment of Covid-19 patients, the local health sector must be proactive and flexible in reasonable personnel arrangement and organization.

Reporting quickly to the Secretary of provincial Party Committee and members of the delegation, Nguyen Thu Cuc, Chairwoman of Thu Dau Mot city’s People's Committee, Permanent Deputy Head of the city’s Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control said that so far, the city has temporarily zoned 191 areas in 14 wards with 3,162 households and more than 9,000 people. The city has also continued maintaining 310 checkpoints in accordance with the principle of "isolating wards from wards, quarters from quarters ...", firmly protecting the "green zone".

Mr. Loi highly appreciated results done by the city in Covid-19 prevention-control and emphasized that the city needs to thoroughly grasp the content of the Prime Minister's direction of further using communes and wards as "fortresses" , the people as "soldiers", continuing relying on the people, promoting the strength of solidarity among the people... Besides, the ward needs to actively mobilize the people to strictly observe regulations on social distancing under the Prime Minister’s Directive No.16; ensure social welfare, opportunely providing food and foodstuffs in the spirit of not letting any people go hungry. All will help people feel secure to “stay where they are” for Covid-19 prevention and control.

Organizing a reasonable and scientific health system

On the afternoon of the same day, the delegation of provincial Party Committee inspected Covid-19 prevention and control in Tan Uyen town. According to a report of the town’s Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control, as of August 30, the total number of F0 cases being treated in the town was 12,213, including 399 on the 2nd treatment floor and 2,563 on the 1st treatment floor people. Especially, there were 9,251 F0 cases being treated in 44 isolation treatment areas in communes and wards. Currently, these areas are facing difficulties in terms of material facilities and human resources. They only have 6 doctors. The town is strengthening testing work with the goal of "separating" all F0 cases from the community.

Whilst, Tan Uyen town has proposed the province to consider and transfer  9,251 F0 cases in 44 isolation areas in communes and wards to field hospitals at all levels to reduce patient overloads so that the town can rearrange the local field isolation treatment facilities. The province needs to provide field treatment facilities and hospitals with more human resources. So far, the town has established 5 "green" communes, wards and had 1 "yellow” ward, 1 "orange" ward and 5 "red” wards.  The town has also set up 21 mobile medical stations in the "red" wards, namely Khanh Binh, Thai Hoa, Tan Phuoc Khanh, Tan Vinh Hiep, Tan Hiep, Uyen Hung, and Hoi Nghia.

Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Loi said ok with transferring 8,000 F0 cases of Tan Uyen town to Thoi Hoa Covid-19 treatment facility in Ben Cat town. He requested Tan Uyen town to organize the rearrangement of medical personnel in line with the local real situation in a more scientific manner. The model of “mobile medical stations” must be attached to hospitals and field treatment facilities on the first floor. The mobile medical stations must satisfy all operating conditions under the regulations of the Ministry of Health on medicine, material facilities, oxygen tanks, medical personnel... The town must organize medical activities in the direction that there are no longer isolation areas, but only treatment ones. For positive cases, they need to be brought to treatment facilities immediately. Regarding vaccines, he said that the province will continue prioritizing the allocation of vaccines from the central source to the "red zones".

Speaking at the inspection sites, the Secretary of provincial Party Committee asked for the whole political system to continue promoting results done, mobilizing strength and resources from the people and businesses to well realize Covid-19 prevention-control and effectively carry out social welfare policies, not letting people go hungry; ensure medical conditions at people's requirements…
