Binh Duong is well prepared for the deputy election

On March 31, an inspection team of Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee led by Nguyen Huu Dung, Vice Chairman of Fatherland Front Central Committee, had a meeting in Binh Duong province to work on the direction and organization of activities to prepare for the deputy election of the 15th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels tenure 2021-2026.

Vo Van Minh, Permanent Deputy Secretary of Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of Provincial People's Council, Chairman of Provincial Election Commission; members of Provincial Election Commission, leaders of departments, branches, districts, towns and cities in the province received and worked with the delegation.

To prepare for legal election, ensure on-schedule progress

Reporting to the Central delegation, Nguyen Van Minh, Director of Provincial Department of Home Affairs, Member of Provincial Election Commission, said that up to now, the preparation for the deputy election of the 16th National Assembly and People's Council at all levels tenure 2021-2026 in the province had basically been completed in accordance with the law, on schedule, on time, guaranteed safety, met requirements of all election works.

Binh Duong took part in trainings organized by National Election Council, Ministry of Home Affairs, Fatherland Front Central Committee; held conferences to disseminate and train for the whole province to monitor, fully and accurately grasp regulations on the election, especially on the process, time, personnel, and candidate profiles of agencies, units and businesses to achieve the close cooperation and unified guidance throughout the province.

In order to successfully hold the deputy election of the 15th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels tenure 2021-2026, on the basis of guiding documents of the Central Government, Binh Duong thoroughly disseminated and implemented election works actively and effectively. Provincial population, as of October 2020, is 2,599,253 people; of which permanent residents are 1,118,057 people, temporary residents are 1,481,196 people. The total number of voters as of March 30th 2021 was 1,799,245.

Mr. Nguyen also reported to the delegation on results of election dissemination in the province; propaganda about the election among the people, young people and workers; works related to personnel and candidates.

Assurance of human resources

Up to now, Binh Duong has staffed well the election. Specifically, province-level People's Council tenure 2021-2026 has 72 deputies and the number of candidates is 121. District-level People's Council tenure 2021-2026 has 299 deputies and the number of candidates is 543. Commune-level People's Council has 2,394 deputies and the number of candidates is 4,311.

Localities and mass media in the province have actively carried out the election propaganda and dissemination. Binh Duong Newspaper set up a section for the election, Provincial Radio - Television, Radio stations at district- and commune-level have increased broadcasting time and programs ...

At the meeting, the Central inspection team appreciated the preparation for deputy election of the 15th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels tenure 2021-2026, especially staffing work for the election. Nguyen Huu Dung, Vice Chairman of Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee, appreciated the direction and leadership of Binh Duong. He also noted, it is necessary to strengthen propaganda among the people and workers so that people could understand the meaning and importance of this election, which is a great festival of the entire people.

On March 31, the Central inspection team had a meeting to inspect and supervise the direction and organization of preparation works for the deputy election of 15th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels tenure 2021-2026 in Ben Cat town. Election Commission of Ben Cat Town reported that the election preparation received much attention from leaders of branches and levels from towns to communes and wards to drastically direct and implement directives. Preparatory steps were carried out strictly and thoughtfully on time and according to the law. Stages of fixing and announcing the number of constituencies, the list of constituencies, and the number of elected People's Council deputies of each constituency, establishment of electoral boards, reception of candidate profiles were done strictly and followed the prescribed order and time.

Fatherland Front Committees of towns, communes, and wards chaired meetings to work out an agreement on preliminary lists of candidates for People's Councils of towns, communes, and wards. At present, the total candidate number for People's Councils of Ben Cat Town is 64; then 35 official delegates will be selected by voters. Communes and wards have totally 412 candidates, and vote for 225 delegates. Ben Cat Town arranged 7 groups of panels to propagate the election. The Town Culture, Sports and Broadcasting Center set up a propaganda program about the election. Communes and wards conducted election propaganda on the radio.

Members of the Central inspection delegation appreciated the initiative of the town in performing election works; acknowledged the high sense of responsibility of Election Commission, Fatherland Front Committee of Ben Cat Town in performing tasks related to the election.
