Phu Giao District Veterans Association helps each other do business

In recent years, Veterans Association of Phu Giao district has carried out activities of "Studying and following Ho Chi Minh's thought, morality and lifestyle" integrated with the association's mission, creating a spreading influence among members.

Studying and following Uncle Ho by specific actions, the District Veterans Association set up models, good and creative ways to bring practical effects. One remarkable practice was the "5+1" (5 well-off households help 1 poor household).

Thereby, the association has helped 8 member households to eliminate poverty, and 9 near-poor member households to rise up and better their lives. Up to now, the whole district has no more poor veteran households, especially no veteran members with housing difficulties. In addition, to implement a model of "Helping poor students to go to school", the association gave scholarships to excellent students, who were children of veterans, poor and near-poor veterans, with total amount of VND 261 million.
