The program of "weekend playground" and the singing contest of young workers to welcome the spring of the Year of Tiger in 2022 at Dong Hoa ward in Di An city started bustling at 15:00 with the apricot-planting contest and Tet holiday decoration. Members of the Youth Union in the ward were happier when preparing apricots and peaches to decorate the evening stage in more colorful and eagerly looking forward to the show's time. This year, Binh Duong experienced a difficult time of the COVID-19 epidemic, and everyone thought that in the epidemic situation, there would not be a happy Tet like every year. But now that the epidemic was under control for a peaceful spring to come in a more precious way. We hope to welcome the new year with joy, but let's all be aware of continuing to join hands to fight the epidemic.

The program took place in folk games with prizes. The private individuals participated in the blindfolded pig game, the hoop throwing and the lucky draw. In addition, the Youth Union organized propaganda in the Youth Union about Youth Union congresses at all levels, COVID-19 prevention and information, and information on regulations on the implementation of a civilized lifestyle at parties, so that Tet and year-end meetings can take place in civilized and safe manners. Mr. Tran Dong A, a worker participating in the program, said: “These propaganda information is very necessary and practical. At the end of the year, people might organize year-end parties and family meetings, so it is very necessary to be aware of COVID-19 epidemic prevention and control and behavior so that the reunion on New Year's Day can still be full of joy.”

Coming to the singing contest, the young people enthusiastically performed their favorite songs, creating a joyful and vibrant atmosphere in the tunes of happy songs. The program of "weekend playground" and the singing contest to welcome the Year of Tiger in 2022 were organized by the Youth Union in Dong Hoa and Binh An wards. In the program, the Youth Union and Vietnamese Youth Union of Di An city also gave Tet gifts to disadvantaged workers at VND 300,000 each in order to take care of workers' life and offer them a fuller Tet holiday.

Tet is still joyful at rented places

Currently, Di An Youth Union has deployed wards to organize at least 2 programs at 2 hostels from January 20 to 28 in the locality of poor families who are unable to return to their hometown to celebrate Tet. Accordingly, in accordance with the COVID-19 epidemic prevention and control situation, the wards unions will actively organize programs in many different forms such as organizing Tet meals, giving essential gifts, and picking lucky flowers at the beginning of the year.

As the unit chosen to host the city-level program "New Year's meal – love sharing", Di An ward organized the program of "Tet rice tray" for immigrant workers at 33/1 of Thong Nhat 2 neighborhood with traditional Tet dishes and sharing encouragements for employees to overcome the difficult time caused by the COVID-19 epidemic. At Tan Binh ward, the program at the Hong Phuc accommodation in Tan Hiep Quarter took place warmly for workers with Tet gifts being given and picking at the beginning of the year.

The remaining units of the ward union also coordinated with related divisions and businesses in the area to organize ward-level activities to take care of union members and individuals. Typically, Binh Thang ward Youth Union has coordinated with the local Farmers' Association and the Union of Dong An High-Tech Vocational College to organize the program of "Listening to Spring" with the theme of "New Year's meals – love sharing" for workers. The program was organized with stalls of games, food, old clothes, taking pictures of spring fun, calligraphy, cakes, jams, subsidized household items, sweepstakes and Tet gifts giving to people, children and young workers with difficult circumstances in the locality.

Ms. Lam Hoang Thuy Trang, Secretary of the Di An Youth Union, said: "Due to the impact of the COVID-19 epidemic, workers are in great hardship; giving Tet gifts to them is indispensable.. The Youth Union will organize the program of "Spring car trip - Sharing love to overcome the COVID-19 pandemic" from January 25 to 30 at hostels with a large number of young people. The Youth Union and 7 wards unions will organize bus trips to the hostels to give gifts to support and encourage workers to welcome the new year with lots of joy and luck.”
