In May 2024, the province's import turnover reached nearly USD 15.989 billion, an increase of 12.7% compared to the same period in 2023. Of which, the domestic economic area imported nearly USD 2.473 billion; the sector with foreign direct investment imported over USD 13.516 billion.
According to businesses, this is the time to increase imports to meet orders from now until the end of 2024. Currently, China is the largest market for imported goods in the province, with imports reaching over USD 7.221 billion in the past 8 months, an increase of 13.4%, followed by Japan with over USD 1.519 billion, an increase of 10.7%, and Taiwan with over USD 1.149 billion, an increase of 8.5% compared to the same period in 2023.
