Binh Duong, Artemisa strengthen cooperation in agriculture and healthcare

Early October 22, comrade Nguyen Hoang Thao, Permanent Vice Secretary of provincial Party Committee, presided over an online working session between Binh Duong province and Cuba’s Artemisa province. At the Artemisa meeting point, comrade Ricardo Concepción Rodriguez, Governor of Artemisa province, chaired the session. In Binh Duong, the working session was attended by comrade Nguyen Loc Ha, Member of provincial Party Standing Committee and Vice Chairman of provincial People's Committee; comrade Ariadne Feo Labrada, Consul General of Cuba in Ho Chi Minh city as well as leaders of departments, agencies and businesses in the province.

During the meeting, leaders from Binh Duong and Artemisa provinces discussed specific cooperation issues in agriculture and healthcare. In agriculture, they focused on the transfer of technical advancements in cultivation and animal husbandry, especially in high-tech agricultural models and the introduction of models and production lines for organic fertilizer... In healthcare, discussions covered investment in the development of the pharmaceutical industry, biotechnology, vaccine production as well as cooperation in education, training and healthcare workforce development.

Speaking at the working session, comrade Nguyen Hoang Thao shared information on the province's political tasks for 2024. He stated that Binh Duong is accelerating efforts to successfully achieve the goals and tasks in all aspects for 2024. He requested provincial departments and agencies to further have close coordination with Artemisa province to effectively implement cooperation agreements between the two provinces. He also expressed his hope that following this session, Binh Duong would soon welcome a delegation from Artemisa for further discussions.

Comrade Ricardo Concepción Rodriguez agreed with cooperation topics discussed during the session and indicated that Artemisa would soon send a delegation to Binh Duong for direct exchanges, delving into the fields of collaboration.
