The provincial People's Committee has just issued Plan No. 6762/KH-UBND to stabilize the market for essential goods in 2025, the Lunar New Year of the Year of the Snake, and to respond to natural disasters in the province. Accordingly, essential goods serving the people in the last months of 2024, the Lunar New Year and throughout 2025 include 5 groups of goods: food staples (rice, sticky rice…), processed food (sugar, milk, seasoning powder, cooking oil, dipping sauce, soft drinks, instant noodles, cakes, candies…), fresh food (meat of livestock, poultry, chicken eggs, duck eggs, vegetables and fruits…), processed food (Vietnamese pork sausage, Chinese sausage, sausages...), petroleum products, and medicines for treating human diseases.
The total value of goods in reserve is approximately 13.725 trillion VND (excluding petroleum and medicines), of which around 2.750 trillion VND is allocated for the period before, during, and after the Lunar New Year of the Year of the Snake 2025. Specifically for pork, a minimum reserve of 6,000 tons per month will be maintained to ensure the needs of the people are met. Participating in the essential goods reserve program for 2025 to ensure the supply of essential goods after natural disasters, epidemics, and during the Lunar New Year of the Year of the Snake 2025 are 17 enterprises.
The mobile sales period is from 1 to 2 days per sale, and the products must be diverse and abundant. Businesses must organize propaganda and hang banners "Stable Market Sales Point" at sales locations so that people know and participate in purchasing. In each market session, there should be at least 20-25 businesses with 30-45 stalls from supermarkets, shopping centers, and reputable enterprises both inside and outside the province.
