Early December 16, the Central Organization Commission held a national conference to review Party building in 2024, set tasks for 2025 and conduct a live broadcast to points across the country. General Secretary To Lam attended and delivered a speech directing the conference. The event was also attended by Party, State and Vietnam Fatherland Front leaders as well as delegates from various ministries, sectors and localities. Comrade Vo Van Minh, Vice Secretary of Binh Duong provincial Party Committee and Chairman of provincial People's Committee chaired the province's conference point.
According to a report at the conference, in 2024, the entire Party building sector completed a significant volume of work. Notably, it advised proactively and implemented comprehensively, synchronously and effectively key tasks, issuing numerous resolutions, directives, conclusions, regulations and rules to concretize 10 tasks on Party building, 3 focal tasks and 3 breakthrough solutions set forth by the 13th Party Congress. The sector also ensured the synchronous execution of all aspects of Party building work, from central to grassroots levels.
Based on the achieved results and the practical demands requiring higher standards for Party building, political system development, preparing for the country to enter a new era—the era of national resurgence—in 2025 and the coming years, the entire Party building sector is committed to continuing innovation, making great efforts and maintaining high determination to complete 10 groups of tasks and solutions, along with 3 strategic breakthrough solutions for Party building as outlined in the 13th Party Congress Resolution.
In his directive speech at the conference, General Secretary To Lam emphasized that streamlining the organizational apparatus must closely adhere to and ensure the implementation of the Party's principles and viewpoints. The Party Central Committee has unified its approach to strictly follow the Constitution, the Party's political platform, the Party's Charter, the Party's principles and central resolutions, ensuring an integrated, synchronized and interconnected process.
The General Secretary requested that advisory work on streamlining the organizational apparatus of Party agencies must ensure that they truly serve as the intellectual core, the General Staff and the vanguard, leaders of State agencies absolutely avoid any excuses, delegation of responsibility, or relaxation of the Party's leadership. We must build truly streamlined advisory bodies, Party committees and comprehensively assess the combined responsibilities within the Party and the political system to make appropriate decisions.
The General Secretary suggested that preparations for and the organization of Party congresses at all levels towards the 14th Party Congress must be done thoroughly. The focus should be on advising the development of high-quality draft documents for the congresses at each level as well as preparing to elect leadership bodies at each level that are highly capable and resilient in their fighting capacity…
