Ben Cat launches a campaign for "For the Poor" Fund in 2024

On October 16, the Mobilization Committee for the "For the Poor" Fund in Ben Cat City held a ceremony to launch the call for support for the 2024 "For the Poor" Fund.

In 2023, Ben Cat City raised over 1.3 billion VND for social security activities. Of which, the city's "For the Poor" Fund mobilized nearly 950 million VND, communes and wards mobilized nearly 400 million VND to support students having sudden difficulties, poor and near-poor households, give gifts to poor and near-poor households, to build and repair solidarity houses...

As a result, the number of poor households in the city has now decreased to 259 households, accounting for 0.79%. Of these, 142 households are poor according to the Central standards, accounting for 0.43%; 117 households are poor according to the provincial standard, accounting for 0.36%.

At the ceremony, agencies, units and businesses donated more than 1 billion VND to the fund. On this occasion, the Organizing Committee of the program presented gifts to 26 students having difficult circumstances, each worth 5 million VND; Ben Cat City People's Committee awarded 18 groups and individuals with many contributions to the City's "For the Poor" Fund in 2023.
