Early August 23, provincial National Assembly Deputy Delegation organized a supervisory conference on the topic of “Implementation of policies and laws on vocational education and job creation in Binh Duong province”.

The conference was attended by Nguyen Loc Ha, Member of provincial Party Standing Committee and Vice Chairman of provincial People’s Committee; Nguyen Thi Ngoc Xuan, Deputy Head of provincial National Assembly Deputy Delegation; Nguyen Truong Nhat Phuong, Vice Chairwoman of provincial People’s Council.

The province currently has 70 vocational education institutions, including 6 colleges, 10 junior colleges, 18 vocational training centers and 36 other facilities registering for vocational education activities. On average, these institutions train more than 30,000 students in various fields annually. The socialization efforts in vocational training have attracted organizations and individuals to invest in establishing high-quality vocational education institutions, positively contributing to realizing vocational training targets and diversifying vocational training activities in the province. At the conference, representatives of colleges, junior colleges and vocational education institutions also raised some challenges in their operations.

Speaking at the conference, Mr. Ha urged vocational education institutions and provincial Department of Labor, Invalids, and Social Affairs to have close cooperation in vocational training and management. The units need to review key industries to enhance training and improve policies related to inter-school connections and support for students. Additionally, they must reassess the quality of vocational education accreditation in schools. The province’s departments and sectors should collaborate with vocational education institutions to review and map out specific plans for each period in line with local and central policies.

Concluding the conference, Mrs. Xuan stated that after the conference, provincial National Assembly Deputy Delegation will give a detailed report on proposals from vocational education institutions and submit them to the government for the formulation of appropriate policies in the  coming time.
