Opening ceremony of the 2022 National Primary and Junior High School Football Tournament Region 2 held

On August 9, the opening ceremony of the 2022 National Primary and Junior High School Football Tournament, Region 2, took place at Hung Vuong Gifted High School. This year's tournament is hosted by Binh Duong. Attending the ceremony were Nguyen Van Loi, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial Delegation of the National Assembly; Nguyen Thanh De, Director of Physical Education Department, Ministry of Education and Training; and leaders of Provincial Department of Education and Training.

Nguyen Van Loi presents souvenir flags to teams of the tournament. 

This year's tournament attracted the participation of 16 primary and junior high school boys football teams from 11 provinces in the Southeast region with the participation of 297 young players. The tournament will take place from August 8 to 18 at Hung Vuong Gifted High School.

The tournament aims to maintain and encourage the movement "All people exercise their bodies following the great Uncle Ho's example". In particular, the goal is to associate physical education and school sports activities with education, cultivation of will, morality, lifestyle, and life skills, to meet the healthy entertainment demand of students. The tournament is held right before the new school year 2022-2023 to encourage student’s’ love of sports, especially football, through which they can learn, practice skills, exchange learning experience.
