Founded in 2008, the 88 Supermarket chain has become a popular address for the Vietnamese community in Vancouver with a wide range of traditional Vietnamese ingredients and products.

Tran Tien, the branch manager of the the supermarket chain, said the suppermarket chain is well-known among Vietnamese in Vancouver, with approximately 60-70% of them shopping there.

He said the chain offers essential items for daily use, reflecting the community’s preference for familiar Vietnamese products.

Over the past decade, the brand has gained credibility and support from the Vietnamese community. Over the recent years, the supermarket chain has been expanded with two additional stores in Vancouver and more expected to be operational in other cities.
