Provincial leaders welcome students from Ho Chi Minh city Branch of the National Academy of Public Administration

Early June 17, Vo Van Minh, Vice Secretary of provincial Party Committee and Chairman of provincial People's Committee, presided over a meeting with students from the Ho Chi Minh city branch of the National Academy of Public Administration. The delegation, led by Dr. Truong Cong Hoa, Deputy Director in charge of the branch, came to study the province’s administrative reform (AR), digital transformation (DT) and socio-economic development.

At the reception, Mr. Minh provided an overview of Bình Dương's socio-economic development, AR and DT efforts. To date, Binh Duong has established a steering committee for AR and DT, implemented a project to develop applications for citizen data, identification and electronic authentication (Project 06) and built the Binh Duong smart city. The establishment of the Steering Committee aims at ensuring unified and comprehensive monitoring and direction, reducing the time spent on individual meetings, promptly resolving existing issues comprehensively and effectively. As a result, the province frequently directs departments, sectors and localities to excel in AR and DT tasks, implement Project 06 and improve the province's 766 Index results, with the ultimate goal of serving citizens and businesses in the best way.

The delegation was further informed of the province's models and methods in making AR efforts in general, administrative procedures on a digital platform in association with the Project 06 in particular. Representatives from departments in the province thoroughly answered questions about advantages, challenges and consensus within the political system in implementing AR tasks.

Speaking at the meeting, Dr. Trương Cong Hoa thanked provincial leaders for taking the time to welcome students from the Ho Chi Minh City branch of the National Academy of Public Administration in reseach of the local information and experience collection in AR and DT.
