Provincial leader receives Russian Consul General

Early January 18, Nguyen Hoang Thao, Vice-Secretary of provincial Party Committee, Chairman of provincial People’s Committee received Russian Consul General in Ho Chi Minh City Aleksei Vladimirovich.

Nguyen Hoang Thao, Vice-Secretary of provincial Party Committee, Chairman of provincial People’s Committee welcomes Russian Consul General in Ho Chi Minh City Aleksei Vladimirovich.

At the reception, Mr.Thao briefly informed the General Consul of the local socio-economic development, investment attraction and external relations over the past time. The province last year continued maintaining its socio-economic growth. So far, the province has absorbed 3,928 FDI projects with total registered capital of more than US$35billion, ranking third nationwide in FDI attraction. The province’s trade surplus was more than US$6billion…He wanted to further have better coordination with the Consulate General of Russia in HCM city and enterprises from Russia.
Aleksei Vladimirovich Popov, for his part, thanked provincial leaders for their warm welcome and expressed his impression on the local development. He wanted that the province will continue promoting bilateral cooperation in trade-investment, contributing to boosting the relations between Vietnam and Russia in all fields.
