Mementoes “For the development of Vietnamese women” awarded

Early October 15, Thuan An town’s Women’s Union held a program to mark the 89^th founding anniversary of the Vietnam Women’s Union (VWU).

The program reviewed the 89-year history of the VWU, highlighted heroic women during the two resistance wars against foreign invaders. Upholding the fine tradition of Vietnamese women, the town’s women have continued making efforts in building well-off, happy families and actively got involved in social charity activities. Since early this year, the town’s Women’s Unions at all levels have further launched the emulation movement of “Women actively studying, creatively working and building up happy families”; organized a talk show on “Business startup thought for women in the era of Industrial Revolution 4.0”, a competition on “smart women with civilized behavior”; launched a campaign of “women in Thuan An joining hands in minimizing plastic waste in response to the “Make the World Cleaner” campaign…

On this occasion, the town’s Women’s Union also congratulated 18 female cadres on their longevity; awarded mementoes of the Central Committee of the VWU to 5 members with contributions to the equality and development of Vietnamese women.
