Nearly VND25billion spent on taking care of social policy beneficiaries

Phu Giao district well realized a task of taking care of social policy beneficiaries in the first half of 2019.

Particularly, the district spent more than VND24.95billion on giving care for the above targeted people. Of the total figure, more than VND8.69billion was for policy beneficiaries; more than VND14.17billion for people enjoying social support, more than VND480million for children and more than VND1.6billion for poverty reduction.

Also during the period, the district received and gave guidance for 53 documents from provincial Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs; took policy beneficiaries to convalescent centers and organized home convalescence for 205 cases. The district also teamed up with provincial Sponsoring Association for Disabled People, Orphans and Poor Patients to build 2 houses of compassion for the handicapped in Phuoc Sang commune and Phuoc Vinh township…
