Phu Giao awarded the first-class Labor Medal

Early August 20, Phu Giao district grandly held a ceremony to mark the 20^th anniversary of the local re-establishment (August 20, 1999-August 20, 2019) and receive the first-class Labor Medal.

The event was attended by Nguyen Minh Triet, former State President; Tran Thanh Liem, Vice-Secretary of provincial Party Committee, Chairman of provincial People’s Committee; heroic Vietnamese mothers; former leaders of Binh Duong, Binh Phuoc provinces and Phu Giao district over periods; leaders of sectors, departments, units, localities in the province together with numerous cadres and people of the district.

After 20 years of development, the district has gained major results on all aspects. The district’s economic structure is developed with 39.7% in agriculture, 31.9% in industry and home industry, 28.4% in trade and services with the annual growth of 28.4%. The district’s agricultural sector has continued obtained comprehensive growth towards hi-tech models. So far, the district has had all 10 communes recognized as new-style rural ones. The district’s socio-cultural fields have also gained major results. The spiritual and material lives of the local people have been improved a lot with their average income at VND54million per person per year. The district’s Party and government building has also obtained positive results with national defence-security maintained.

Addressing the ceremony, on behalf of provincial leaders, Mr.Liem congratulated the district on its achievements during the 20 past years. He also suggested the district to further uphold its results done over the past time, redress obstacles, well tap the local potentialities for better development.

On this occasion, the district was also awarded the first-class Labor Medal of the State President. The district’s War Veterans’ Association and Division of Home Affairs received the third-class Labor Medals. There were also 5 collectives and 1 individual awarded the certificates of merit of the Prime Minister; 23 collectives and 43 individuals with the certificates of merit of provincial People’s Committee Chairman.
