Thu Dau Mot’s voluntary blood donation campaign reaches 84% of year’s target

On May 16, Thu Dau Mot city’s Red Cross Society in collaboration with Ho Chi Minh city-based Cho Ray Hospital’s Blood Transfusion Center organized a voluntary blood donation program.

The program attracted a large number of the local forces and people to register for participation. As a result, the organizers received 321 blood units. The amount of blood will be screened and preserved by Cho Ray Hospital’s Blood Transfusion Center to serve first-aid and treatment for patients in need of blood at medical facilities.

It is known that since early this year, the city’s Red Cross Society has coordinated with relevant units to organize 5 rounds of voluntary blood donation. As a result, 1,935 out of 2,300 blood units were received, reaching 84% of the year’s target.
